 We all love our animal companions, they are treasured members of our families and leave a huge gaping hole in our lives when they die. The grief we feel associated with pet loss is as real and painful as that felt losing a human loved one.
The Our Departed Pets community provides a unique way to remember and pay tribute to the memory, and celebrate the life, of our cherished pets. Members can now create special everlasting on line memorials for treasured cats, dogs, birds, horses, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs and any other much loved and missed animal companions.
On your memorial pages you can upload photos, write about your pet and if you wish also link your memorial to an obituary if you have published one. Email your family and friends to bring them to your special page. Visitors can also leave their messages of respect and condolences on a guest book on your memorial page.
We have found that creating a memorial page can be especially beneficial to children, and help them with their grieving process. When they have a page of their own they can come to, and also ask their friends to visit, it gives them something tangible to connect to and remember their pet by.
No matter where you live in the world you can now connect to honor the memories of your beloved pets. You can also share your stories and offer pet loss bereavement support by submitting articles for the site and also submit poetry for the rainbow bridge poetry pages.

 Regular Free User Registration: Registered users have access to view Our Departed Pets on line pet memorials and leave messages of condolence, submit poetry and links.
Memorial Page Creation requires paid membership: Registered Members can create an on line "family pets" memorial page. Members pages can also be linked to their pet obituary, if they have chosen to list one. Once an obituary and/or memorial page has been created, or an article submitted, members have full editorial control over their pages and can update/edit as often as they wish.
Membership to Our Departed Pets is just $10 which entitles the registered member to create an on line memorial page and a linked obituary for their departed family pets, submit poetry to the poetry section, submit links for the bereavement support links area and submit grief support articles.  Our Departed Pets Free Death Notices. Registered members can post an obituary completely free. Simply register for free membership on the site, log in and click on "D. Notices" in the user menu. Once your obituary is published you may then email it to your contacts. You can update and edit your obituary at any time with new or revised details. You may also add notes, as you wish. Simply email your contacts list any time you have revised the listing.
